With the dawn of a new Lionistic year, the Lions Club of Gothatuwa New Century Leo proudly celebrated its 8th Annual Installation Ceremony of Office Bearers for 2024/2025 on the 30th of June 2024 at Board Walk by Waters Edge, Battaramulla.
PDG Lion Kusum Sandanayaka PMJF PMAF, accompanied by his gracious lady Lion Chandani, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The ceremony also welcomed Lion Dhanasiri Gurusinghe MJF MAF JP, then Honorary Cabinet Officer and now Advisory Panelist and Guiding Lion of the Lions Club of GNCL, along with his gracious lion lady Chandra, as the Guest of Honour.
Under the guidance of the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, the office bearers of the Lions Club of GNCL for the new year were installed, with Lion Sudaththa Ariyasena taking on the presidency. The club also expressed heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing president, Lion Sameera Amaratunga, for his remarkable service and contributions.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, District Governor at the time, Lion Panthake Dabare FDI PMJF PMAF, and his gracious lady Lion Dilrukshi, joined the ceremony later in the day.
The members and board of directors of the Lions Club of GNCL extend their sincere thanks to all cabinet officers, visiting Lions and Leos for their presence and support on this momentous occasion.
