We, Lions Club of Gothatuwa New Century Leo together with the Sampath Bank PLC donated a water purification plant as a community service project for the benefit of school children in Vidhu Aruna Maha Vidyala, Nochchiyagama, Anuradhapura.
The Project involved design, construction of safe house and installation of water purification plant. This Community project will benefit 300 children and 20 teachers in the above mentioned rural school as water in the school is not in a consumption status and every child brings required water for the day from their homes or purchase water bottles.
The Opening Ceremony and Handing over happened on 1st October 2020 while Celebrating the World Children’s Day
