A Multi Service Project organised by Lions Club of Gothatuwa New Town and Lions Club of Gothatuwa New Century Leo (Region 2, Zone 1) covering Lions International 4 Global Causes – Diabetes, Vision, Hunger,Environment and many more services.
Blood Donation Camp (LC Gothatuwa New Town) The blood bank doctors and nurses mobilized to project site with needed beds and medical equipment which was quickly setup for operations to begin.All blood donors were given a proper meal and gift items such as a mug, a plant and a decorative steel bucket in return of their great service. We received 80 blood donors during the blood camp and it was very successful. All of the donors were given priority who wish to get services of full body check up, eye testing and spectacles.
Diabetes Screening ( LC Gothatuwa New Town) Diabetes screening including full body check-up (BMI) was conducted by Nawaloka Hospital Doctors and Nurses at the project site. Patients who needed further consultation was given advice and prescriptions. Nearly 200 people in various age groups were screened during the session.
Nethsuwa 2020, Eye Screening and Donation of Spectacles ( LC of Gothatuwa New Century Leo) under the theme Global Vision Improvement where we organized an eye screening camp for 300+ people and donated 300 Nos. spectacles. During the screening we identified people who needed cataract surgery and they were recorded for future purpose of arranging their surgery.
Donation of Body Organs after death
(LC of Gothatuwa New Town) We also organized a registration stall for individuals willing to donate their body organs after death. Applications collected from the Sri Lanka EyeSociety filled and the proceedings were done by us. Over 90+ donors volunteered for this once in a life time service.
A snack for the General Public (LC of Gothatuwa New Town and LC of Gothatuwa New Century Leo) we distributed milk packets and fish buns for all the general public who attended the health camp in need of receiving the services provided by us on the day.
Cataract Surgeries ( LC Gothatuwa New Town) The identified individuals needing cataract surgery will be done

Ground Support – Leo Club of Kolonnawa provided full time ground support for the operation of multi service project.
Drug Awareness Program – Lions Club of Nugegoda 2020 Stars, 306 C2 joined hands to conduct Drug Awareness Program.
Opening Ceremony Chief Guest was District Governor 306 C1 – LionChethiya Paranthanthri and his Lion Lady Lion Mala. Special Guests on this occasion were Officer In Charge Gothatuwa Police Station, Mr.Chinthaka Anuradha and Principle Supervising Public Health Inspector,Mr. Nalin Fonseka.
